    New Additions -The FAMILY Edition

The girls are amazing and so happy! Shelagh: I know I promised you many pictures and I do try to take them but generally they are having too much fun to stay still and look pretty. After many photo shoots I can finally took a couple pictures I can share. Marissaceleste: That's so funny...

    Happy Birthday Lilspaz/Shelagh!

This is belated but none the less important. Happy birthday Shelagh. I hope you had a wonderful birthday. For all you do for rats and their owners you deserve a fantastic celebration!

    The New Boys...

Aw! I'm so glad to hear they're improving. It's even better because no one thought they could improve. One rat was almost euthanized because of that. Look at them now.

    Need some help coping...

The decision you made was out of love so it couldn't be a mistake. I am so sorry for your loss. I know the feeling and it's awful but you did the best you could for her. Even if you weren't there when she passed away she died knowing you love her.

    Stealth Wheels

Has anyone tried using this type of wheel. I'm strongly considering purchasing one because I am getting pretty annoyed about how loud the "Silent" Spinner is but I would like to know are they really as quiet as advertised? I would have to order one from the states which makes it fairly expensive...

    Opinions needed..

I agree with everyone else. She does seem skeptical and it kind of feels like Honey needs you. Plus as Minnie said I don't like to see old/sick ratties having to be rehomed unless there is a very good reason.

New *pregnant?* girls from abandoned apartment

So glad you saved them. I don't get how people can be so heartless but fortunately there are people like you that have huge hearts that kind of balance things out. Now they can live in a great home where they will be loved and well cared for.

    Chewers

My current girls are the worst chewers I have ever had. Poor Bastien. At least you are aware of it now and can take precautions.

Do you think rats do better in larger colonies?

That's a very good point. I find I pay attention to those guys the most but if I think about expanding the colony I will have to think about that.

Do you think rats do better in larger colonies?

I started this thread with a colony of 4. I wanted to know f it would give my babies more confidence. You guys seemed to think it might so we adopted Eva and China. 6 might not be a lot for some of you but it's our biggest colony. I am thrilled to say as a group of 6 they are so much more...

    New Additions -The FAMILY Edition

Hahaha I love it! Eva got Penelope popcorning earlier today. I have never seen that from P before so it was pretty funny. They have taken to sleeping all together in a big ratty pile and act like they have always known each other.

    New Additions -The FAMILY Edition

The babies are thriving in the big girl cage! My older girls seem to be working on forgiveness. I really love watching the colony now. It's so much more interesting. It's just 6 girls but it's the biggest group I have ever had.
