Thank you! We weren't as off as I thought, but we were overdosing the doxy slightly, and underdosing our biggest on the baytril. Hopefully they keep these ratios so we don't have to math again! You're the best!
Came home from a week out of town to find that my mom did not alert me that the rats were getting sick. Our vet(not a brilliant rat vet, but tolerable) is awesome and does 24 hour med refills but it seems like every time we get these meds, the concentration is different, and I'm concerned enough...
So, trying not to panic here, but we definitely fed our fuzzers frozen veggies from the current massive Listeria recall list. =( And they were straight from the freezer, so no heating to kill it. The only symptom on the list I've seen that would be visible in a rat is diarrhea, so I guess we...
I haven't, to be honest. Trying to find paying work, and renovating the house we are living in, has been taking up most of my time. I have all the pics taken, I just need to write it up and post them. Knowing that you are actually waiting for it, I will try to find some time soon. =)
I've always just made liners of single layer fleece - it wicks the moisture away from the rats and washes and dries easily. =) I hope to post a tutorial for making my liners in the next few months, so that will be available too, for sewers. =)
Update! Yardage is still $4 a yard and shipping in the continental US appears to be running about $1 a yard, or a little more.
Solid Fleece colors available, with yardage:
Red 4
Peach 3
Yellow 3 1/2
Lime 5
Green 3
Blue 10
Purple 2 1/2
Lavender 5 2/3
Hot Pink 10
Pale Pink 4
That is certainly one way to do it! Our old girl Luna would pull fleece out and stash it all over the cage(and on top of her food bowl). If you don't want to give them all of it at once, you can pull some out and save it for later. We would just pull out the stuffing for a wash(and to shake out...
All orders are complete and everything will be going in the mail tomorrow. If anyone still wants yardage, let me know! It's looking like shipping in the US is about $1 a yard.
Big thank yous to everyone who has ordered and helped me get this load of fleece pared down. There's still a lot, but...
Aw, ya'll are so awesome. Should have known this group would be super understanding. =)
I've made a ton of progress today, guys. As much as making these things can get me down, once I get started I can keep going, and I do DESPERATELY need to get rid of fleece. I still have over 125 yards of...
Brains are weird. And depression really sucks. I can't even tell you how nauseous and stressed out I am typing this. So, it looks like MomRat Magic Fleece has actually become one of my depression triggers. The last two months have slid steadily downhill, and the only thing I can tell that...
So, while I'm trying to figure out how to edit my original post, I'm just gonna put this here for everyone asking to see prints available. Quite a few of these are very limited, many to one set only. Also willing to sell as yardage. Please use reference numbers from picture.
Just read through this whole thread and wanted to drop in a two cents worth- Easy thing to keep in your first aid kit is a little bit of dark chocolate, like bakers chocolate chips. If a rat goes into Serious respiratory distress, it's easier to get them to eat chocolate than to force meds into...
Haven't forgotten you. Still need to get a pic of prints up here. Will soon.
Aargh I'm horrible with this. Just pick colors. And PM me your shipping info.
I'm going to try to sew up a batch this week. Not getting as many orders as I was hoping.
Absolutely. Again, sewing up a batch this week...
I definitely have Yellow(max 5 1/5 Yards) and Pale Pink(max 6 Yards). No Brown, sorry.
I will request a shipping amount based on guesstimation by the USPS website. If it turns out to be more than $2 above or below the guess, I will refund the amount excessive or request a second paypal payment...
You could just get him neutered. =) Dr. Anita Kuhnle in Arlington heights does amazing work, and it's only about $100, which is barely more than you would spend on the cage, and then they could all live together...
Hi all, MomRat here. I know I've been gone a long time. Life is hard, depression is hard, working 3 jobs is hard. However, things are looking up! (Despite the fact that we are without ratties for the first time in 6 years, sadness) DadRat is finishing his degree in December and we will be moving...
