142 + 141 = ???

Is it possible to combine a 141 with a 142 to get a 3 story FN? or do you have to use the Ferret Nation add-on Single Unit (143)?

I've just contacted someone about a 142 and if the sale goes through wondering if I should sell the 141 or make a 3 story.

No, you need the 143 add on because it comes with the pan with the hole and ladder to reach the bottom.

I guess thats the "Replacement Pan For Ferret Nation Model 143" that ive seen for sale at ferret.com?

Are those even available in Canada? I'd probably be better off selling the FN141 (~100$) and then buying the 143 new (~145$) instead of trying to get a replacement pan + ladder.

Ferret.com does ship to Canada, it says on their website that they automatically charge $30 + shipping charges.
You not only need the pan but also the wired panel with the hole with ladder. Which it doesn't look like you can buy either.

I did that.
You can order a replacement ladder or use a wooden bird ladder, etc.
You will need to cut the wire bottom and use coroplast or something to make a new pan, unless you buy the replacement pan.

Heh, need and want are 2 different things I only have 4 boys, so a 1 or 2 level FN is probably a lot more space then I need. So I will be passing on trying to get the proper pan and ladder and making a 3 story for the time being.

If I do manage to get the 142 I will probably end up Kijijiing the 141 (for hopefully ~$100), which is only 45$ short of a brand new FN143 Addon Story if I ever decide to get it (which probably wont be for a while, if ever).

142 + 141 = 283
