Hi,
I'm new here and I'll probably stick on that forum, everything seems really nice!

I just bought two rats, one rex and one common rat about the same age (2-3 months), the common one is healthy but the rex is always sneezing when he's wake up. He's absolutely ok when he sleeps and he seems to breathe normally.
I had 2 other rats for about 3 years in the same room at the same place so I don`t think it`s the air or anything like that for that reason.
Can it be only stress?
note: He's eating normally and playing with his mate. I had more than 30 rats in my life and it`s the first time I saw that in a young rat like that and without anything than just sneezing...

Anyone had a similar issue with their rats?

Here's a video of him doing it:

There is a common thing called “New Rat Sneezes”. I’m not sure if this is it- I haven’t actually owned rats, but I’m gathering information- but this is my first thought. How long have you had them? (Also I wanted to mention, he’s such a cutie! :) Welcome to the forum!)

If you've had your cutie a week or so that could be New Home Sneezes when their sensitive respiratory system adjusts to their new environment.
If it's been longer, is there times or places he sneezes more?

I bought it Saturday, I think i'll wait a little bit before going crazy :p
Almost all of my other rats where born in my house so no acclimation problems...
Thank you very much and yes he's really cute and seems to have a fantastic temperament with us and other rats. We went to a pet store and couldn't resist him.
