Hiya guys,
So I discovered an extremely large wild rat in my stable. He/she is very wobbly, I easily caught it in a cage. I wish to do no harm to it but obviously it can’t stay there. I can’t figure out if it’s poorly or perhaps pregnant? And where I should take it. As local sanctuary’s will not handle a poorly or pregnant rat! Help! Xx

Pictures? Video (post to youtube and put the link on here)

Perhaps the rattie is dehydrated or ill.
Most wildlife rehab centers will kill wild rats or use them as food for other animals
Look through our reference thread for information on how to care for ratties https://www.ratshackforum.com/threads/reference-thread-read-only.35894/
Once the rattie is feeling better, if you are sure it is not an abandoned or feral pet, then it could go back to where you found it and you could make sure it access to food and water …. if not pregnant, then birth control could be used to keep numbers down

Got back to him and unfortunately he’d passed :( but Thankyou for your help xx

Could've been many things, a large wild rat is potentially a very old one as they don't have long lifespans in the wild. Poison, lepto, age, injury..anything at all.
