Whenever I practice my guitar and sing near my rat cage they always line up and listen by the bars. They either brux and boggle like crazy or fall asleep lol. I’m sure it’s enjoyable for them though. It’s honestly adorable; I like my little audience.

I like to think my rats enjoy my singing, but my bird often butts in and, uh... tries to sing along a lot more off key than me...
Otherwise, my boys seem to enjoy it, especially if they're lying on my chest and sleeping. I wonder for those rats if they enjoyed the vibration me singing brought them

I'm always singing to my rats, and I adjust the lyrics to include their names. Many seem to enjoy it, often lying motionless with eyes closed or bruxing. A lively or silly tune has even made some young 'uns run around in excitement. But if I sing something loud & serious I more often get a thumbs down - the critters disappear into pods or nest boxes. My beasties also tolerate soft piano-playing quiet well, but they recoil from anything thunderous...especially hammering on the drum kit.

Funny, because I found a video rather recently about researchers attempting to "decode" rat noises.
