HELP! What's wrong with baby?!?

That would be the prednisone It works fast on reducing tilts etc as long as you get it to them quickly.

So I just played with baby, and gave her round 2 of meds. She's doing SO MUCH better today! She still has a slight tilt, but I kinda expected that. It's so much easier to give advise or help others when they need it (with rats and humans), but for some reason, when it's my own, my anxiety kicks in hyper mode, and I forget everything I knew. LOL But then again, I have never dealt with an ear infection myself. I figured at some point it was inevitable, with so many rats though! Thank you so much for helping me out!

So glad to hear she's improving

This morning, she's been back to her old bouncy, super playful self. So I'm glad to say the meds are helping!

So today, she's SUPER hyper and ripping and roaring around her cage. It's so cute, but sometimes when she stands up on her hind legs to climb up, she will stumble or fall to the left still. Is this normal? She still has a very slight tilt as well. But otherwise has a ton of Spunk and is doing great!

She's feeling better but the active infection is still there. Make sure to Medicare long enough and really make sure to stop the pred at 5 days otherwise you cannot stop cold and have to use a tapering schedule

Gave her her last dose of prednisone today. I'll be sure to keep doing the antibiotics. I have the cipro made up just in case, as well.

I think I may now have a manic tilty girl. She's got the zoomies 100% of the time, and now just moves and plays in a spastic way. Her head is still tilted to the left as well. Why does this happen? She was not quite as spasy as she is now. I still love her the same though. She's just way more hyper now. LOL

So here's baby today. Super playful. Pardon the grody cage. I'm cleaning it tomorrow. And the bottom pan in the girls cage doesn't have fleece because Mackie keeps ripping it up to stuff in her house, even though I give her scraps. So it lasts 10 mins at best when I put it down. I even use binder clips, but she chews around them, and steals the fleece anyway! The little stinker!!
