Note: this is not his regular cage. He has URI and I didn’t want the kids from my mom’s daycare to stress him because his regular cage is in the living room so I placed him in my room where it’s warmer and quieter. He’s usually very social and sweet with the kids but I didn’t want them to bother him after his vet visit. He went back to his regular cage after his play time.
Edit: Jack is a boy but the song talks about a girl. I don’t think he minds being called a girl though. Who knows he might be gender fluid/ non binary for all we know

Jack is a cute boy :)

Rats get stressed when separated from their friends so it would be best for Jack if you kept him in his cage with his friends and moved the cage into a less stressful environment

I like that! They can be whatever gender they want. Love comes in all genders, ages, and colors!

LOL gender is a social construct based on social stereotypes of behaviour …. so it does not apply to rats
I think rats accept themselves for who they are, including their biological sex, and realise that they can behave however they want and be themselves just the way they are

Our rats can help us celebrate Pride Month. My boys love rainbows :p

Anyways, I think rats don't care what you call them so long as you give them cuddles and smother them in love. I've been calling Grumpy my baby for well over a year. And I call all of my rats cute and adorable.
