i have had a rat for a couple months now and since realized that they are the type of animal that does better with a friend vs. being alone so today I brought another rat home. I let them run around together to get to know each other a bit then put them in the cage. They seem to be wrestling a lot and my new guy Squeeks a lot and I’m worried they are fighting. No one is hurt or bleeding. I read that it’s just a dominant thing, but I just want to see what other people thought.

It's probably just them figuring out who's the boss in the cage hehe. If they aren't drawing blood I wouldn't be too concerned but keep an eye on them just in case..

From what you wrote, it does not sound like you did proper introductions.
Rats are territorial and can not just be put together unless all rats are under 12 weeks old.

Unless all the rats are under 12 weeks old, please separate them immediately!!
For information on how to introduce rats, please see https://www.ratshackforum.com/threads/introducing-new-rats.34842/#post-491257 and joinrats.com

btw a good thread with useful info is our Reference Thread https://www.ratshackforum.com/threads/reference-thread-read-only.35894/

this may also give you info you may be unaware of https://www.ratshackforum.com/threads/thinking-of-getting-a-rat-things-to-consider.32306/

Also, check www.joinrats.com for info on introductions and socializing.

Just saw SQ put it in her comments. But link so it's easier to just click on it.
