Male rat hiccups every time I cuddle him

I dont know much about rats. But my male rat hiccups almost every time I pet him. He seems fine other than that aside from minor sneezes occasionally.

Some people believe that hiccups might be related to respiratory issues. I'd keep a close eye on him an listen to his lungs.

Keep a close eye on him and if it continues or gets worse, or other symptoms develop then please take him to see a good vet with the knowledge and experience to treat rats

The sneezing could be environmental - scent or dusty bedding etc if it is happening very much

In my experience, when I have had rats that hiccup, the hiccupping stops when they are treated with antibiotics for a myco flareup
