Scotty has hed very bad and was 3 years old on Nov 25. Scotty does a lot of bruxing …… and some times he curls his one of his front paws - that has been happening for awhile. I have wondered about pt but it doesn't seem like that.
Scotty is on baytril, zithro, Lasix and pred …….. I will increase his pred dose

Scotty seems to have had repeated seizures last night. He would go stiff/rigid and then relax. Scotty was limp most all night …. unable to even move his head or blink his eyes. Occasionally he would make a quiet whimpering noise. Last night when he was paralyzed, Scotty would occasionally make breathing noises. Scotty also was and continues to jerk like what people label rat hiccups.

About 45 mins ago Scotty was able to move his head but otherwise seemed paralyzed. He was able to take some infant formula by syringe but his body was completely limp and although he could move his head, he was unable to support it.

About 15 min ago Scotty became able to move his right front paw and leg, then he was able to move the left. Then Scotty started grooming his head and twisting around to try to groom his body.
Now he is able to twitch his back legs and move his tail and is getting back to how he was.

Scotty has had these type of seizures previously in the last few weeks but they did not previously cause any impact except that he seemed quiet afterwards.

I called the vet this morning to try to get Scotty in as thought he needed to be pts …..

Any suggestions?

Poor little guy. I have very little experience with seizures, none that debilitated a rat that bad. But since he's doing better, maybe wait it out? If he fully recovers that would be great. Lilspaz has lots of experience with seizures.

I would definitely try the CBD oil. It really is not harmful in anyway. I have my dog on it for allergies. I would start small and work your way up. So my bottle of Bernie's CBD oil is 8.25 mg/ml, I would start with .2 and work my way up. This CBD oil contains no THC whatsoever.
