Okay thanks.. Should I feed her every hour or so. ? Or every two hours ? I try to feed her via spoon but I will syringe feed her if I have to..

Definitely start her on the antibiotics. Ste really needs a steroid to help with the dizziness. Does she roll when you pick her up? Myco can cause inner ear infection and they often hit babies hard. Her world is very dizzy right now, she probably prefers to hold onto something to stop the spinnig, and having a low ceiling box or your hand over her head will help her figure out up from down. The antibiotics should cure the infection but the head tilt may not go away. Steroids would reduce the inflammation fast if you can get some. Now let's go over her current antibiotics. What concentration is your baytril and your doxy (mg/ml), how much does your wee.one weigh, and how much were you told to give of each antibiotic?
Soft foods right now is the way to go. She can lick it up and it won't hurt as much. I have made up very watery baby cereal with homemade rehydration formula to syringe into sick rats.

Kye, I am so sorry your fur baby is having a difficult time. I just wanted to say I'm praying for him. I'm a newbie Dumbo owner. This site is very helpful.

Soft foods right now is the way to go. She can lick it up and it won't hurt as
Bayril: 5 mg/ml .35ml twice a day
Doxycycline: 5 mg/ml .2 ml twice a day. She weighs 5 1/2 ounces.... She tries to roll but I try not to let her so I cover her head so she can't look up and it seems to help..

here is some info that may be useful http://ratguide.com/health/auricle_ear/otitis_media_otitis_interna_labyrinthitis.php

I would feed her every 2 or 3 hours during the day and evening
try feeding organic soy infant formula thickened with a bit of baby cereal - she can lick it off your finger or take it one drop at a time in the side of her mouth by syringe if necessary or suck the formula off of a new, clean tiny paint brush - other food suggestions can be found on the above link
make sure that her food and water are within reach in case she is able to eat but also shallow so she does not drown

give her soft bedding, keep her cage clean, one level, no ladders and nothing high she could fall out of
give her something with a low roof - box, house or hammock hung so it is on the floor of the cage and she can crawl into it - having a low roof will help her to know where up and down are and help her not to roll.
If she has friends they may help her and their company may comfort her

I can send a photo of the cage if that would help ? We have been giving her baby food one she really likes to take off a spoon or the lid.. She had her first dose of Doxy and she seemed to have a new level of determination as she tried to go to the food dish and eat. She got a few nibbles then quit..

Also can I keep her on baby food ? We would prefer it as the others like it as a treat and she will really only take it so far..

feed her whatever she will eat because that is most important
but try the organic soy formula (or kitten milk replacer) thickened with baby cereal because they have the nutrition she needs …. also see the link I provided on inner ear infections which gives a lot of info incl meds and care

I will most likely stick to Baby food and maybe if I can turn the hard food into mush I'll add water and try to get her that... I appreciate all the help.. Do you think there is a strong chance she will past though ?..

Rats usually recover from inner ear infections if they get the proper medical care

she does need a steroid as lilspaz68 mentioned, in order to help prevent permanent damage …. and rats often need to be on antibiotics for months in order to recover
(prednisone can not just be stopped, if has to be gradually reduced by cutting the dose in half)

Where would I get the other medication. . .? And are you positive it's an ear infection.?..

You should be able to call your vet, and ask for it. They shouldn't have a problem giving you some. Also, it may help to print off the info from the link she gave you, and take that to your vet. Sometimes vets don't have a lot of knowledge when it comes to rats....

There are several things that could be the problem,
but hopefully it is an inner ear infection
if the problem is neurological, the treatment would usually be the same

Jorats, Lilspaz68 have all said that she needs a combo of antibiotics and a steroid
as Dena said, you need to get the meds from your vet (or from a pharmacy using a prescription from your vet)
If you can not get meds from your vet, then Lilspaz68 may be able to tell you were your can order some
the steroid will reduce inflammation as lilspaz68 said, this will help to reduce her symptoms (head tilt, circling, etc) and also reduce the permanent damage

We are not vets and our information about her is limited, but lilspaz68 has a lot more experience then most so go with what she suggests - go back and reread what she wrote
and see if you can get your vet to give you a steroid or anti inflammatory asap
the links I gave you are from the ratguide.com which is a vet approved medical site for rats, and you might want to print out the info to share with your vet

If you feel like you need another vet, you might want to contact Mainely Rat Rescue to see if they have any recomendations

Okay ! Thanks for all the help it really means a lot . I'll keep you updated !

I have been forgetting to send the links to the videos.. I have a few from today I can send..
