You might want to print out info from ratguide.com to show your vet if they are open to learning ….. www.ratguide.com is a vet approved, medical site for rat owners. My vet also goes online to a group for vets and asks other vets questions - that resource is likely available to your vet, and vets can also consult with other vets …. my vet has consulted with other vets in the past about rats, as has lilspaz68's vet and Jorats vet.

(my vet prescribes 10 mg/Ib of azithromycin for my rats and we have found it is not very effective unless used in combination with baytril)
