Riley has started his journey to The rainbow Bridge...
He set off last night with his 3 brothers close to him...He had suffered an injury to his nose that had made breathing difficult and inoperable by a vet..We took care of him and helped him eat and drink and gave him cuddles when he was at his worst...We made the decision yesterday that we wouldn't let this situation go on and that we would call the vets and PTS... Riley made the journey on his own terms...in his home with his family near him...Riley one of 4 boys that came to us over 3 years ago was the most interactive of the 4 and would love to fun fight and tussle with our hands, Sometimes we would win flipping him on his back for tummy tickles sometimes he would win standing proudly on top of our hand...His last days were stressful for him but he would stay on our shoulder getting ear strokes until his breathing calmed knowing he was loved...
We will miss our little wrestler but he is at peace now and can breathe well again, running around with his big family at the Bridge waiting for the time when he can win his round again...
Never a goodbye just See you later at the bridge Riley you fought well but this round was neither yours or ours to win.
