When I have pt rats I give them pred +baytril and try them on the cabergoline. If the cabergoline helps, I still keep them on the pred + baytril, although some people do not.

If she is hanging her head down she may need more antibiotics because in addition to pt she may have a URI - maybe talk to your vet about adding azithromycin (1- mg/Ib) orally, twice a day and make sure she does not have fluid in her lungs

I am having a very difficult and stressful time with Zoe. She's not happy and not eating enough. I have to force feed her and she hates it. And she still lost weight. She is now approximately 320 grams.

The cabergoline, prednisone/baytril helped a bit with her unusual breathing, leaning on the edge behaviours, and balance issues. I think it even shrunk one of her tumors near her arm.

I even started giving her some CBD oil which seemed to help a bit. But today was just a bad day. She didn't eat enough, just slept all day and night, and lost weight.

But having to force feed her three times a day is very stressful and difficult for me and for her. Plus she's still losing weight.

Sadly, I think I will have to put her down very soon because she's not getting better.

I’m sorry that Zoe’s getting worse again. Putting her down will be difficult but you will be making the best decision for her. It’s awful for us to have to decide when it’s time but it’s best to do it before they suffer too much.

It was a very difficult decision. But sadly I had to put her down today. It wasn't easy and it's still not easy. I'm still grieving. I don't know what to do. My heart is aching.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Dealing with pituitary tumours is never easy and I have always found it very overwhelming how quickly they change from it. It was kind of you not to put her through anything she couldn’t handle and to do the best thing for her when the time was right.
