Henry seems awful this morning. I heard him moving around when I woke up and checked on him. His eyes were goopy and he was having a really hard time getting around. I cleaned up his eyes and put him on my bed to change his blankets.
He just seems like he's really struggling. He still tries to groom himself and he's hungry, but he is just not himself. He hasn't been himself for a couple of weeks. It seems like he doesn't know where he is and he doesn't seem to recognize me. While I was observing him, his eyes teared up with this orange-ish guck.
I attached two pictures and got a video...
What do I do? The Cabergoline is supposed to come in this week. I've never had a rat this old before, so I don't know if this is typical of old age, of PT, if there's something else going on... Should I let him go?
This is how Henry used to be before all these symptoms came up. This is from about six months ago -
It hurts to see him deteriorate like this.
