So I have two rats and a mouse. The ratties are maybe 6-8 weeks while the mouse is a year and a half. Unfortunately my mouse came down with respiratory issues and I spent my emergency vet fund getting him proper care. None of the medications have worked and his quality of life is really poor so I'm going to get him euthanized in about an hour
My question is about one of my rats, whose main symptom is wet sounding sneezes. I have Baytril leftover from my mouse and am severely tempted to weigh my rattie and ask you folks about an appropriate dosage to avoid additional vet fees. I'm finding some conflicting reviews about using baytril on young rats (apparently it's caused problems in dogs) so wanted to ask what you would do in such a case?
