Hello! Im not sure what to say here exepex hi lol
That and to tell you guys about my babies, of course!!
I have 11 rats (amount explained in a moment), 3 mice, a hamster, 2 ferrets, 6 gueanea pigs, 6 cats, 3 dogs, and 2 reptiles (crested gecko and bearded dragon)

Rats;
Pauper; the mildly evil rat (about 1 year)
Missy; ol' gal (about 2 years)
Roxas; skittish Skittle (about 7 months)
Midnight; fighter (about 1.5 year)
Owlen; the small lover (about 8 months)
Hannah; the skittish treat taker (about 5 months)
Wisp; the acroRAT (about 5 months)
Traveler; the traveling circus (1 year)
W.D. Gaster; the bully victim (because of Pauper)(about 8 months)
Stinky; the big lover (unknown)
Stewie; angry loves (unkown)
Okay! Those are my rats!! So Pauper is a loner because he does not enjoy other rats, let alone humans. Missy is a loner because she killed one of my babies, and Roxas is a loner because I have way to many rats and so I try spending as much time with him as possible. Midnight, Olwen, Hannah and Wisp are cage mates who couldn't even dare be apart. Midnight is Olwen and Gaster's mom, Hannah and Wisp came from an accidental litter my friend had. Traveler and W.D. Gaster are cage mates. Traveler is Gaster and Olwen's children. A year or so ago I experimented with breeding rats, and while I am so glad for the experience, I don't want to do it again. Traveler was my first rat, Midnight was my second, then the rest just followed in line... Gaster has a large bump in the middle of his tail where Pauper attacked him when he was younger. Stinky and Stewie we're feeder rats. My friend's mom fell in love with them and wouldn't let them be food, but later she couldn't take care of them. Instead of them going back to the snake pen, I took them. Most of the rats I got came from the local human society and friends. Pauper was a rat we housed for a friend, that friend dissapeared on an adventure and never came back (I still text them, that sounds a lot more ominous than it should...). I love each and everyone of them sooooo much and I couldn't imagine life without them... Though I will point out that when one passes, I am not replacing them... I have too many in the first place, after all...

Mice;
Phantom; the escape artist (about a year)
Raichu; the skittish nipper (about a year)
Queenie; the albino cutie (about a year)
Phantom and Raichu we're my first introductions to mice. I love them so much and I'm so scared to wake up in the morning to them being gone... Phantom and Raichu came from a pet store, Queenie (with her sister Tina, RIP...) came from the local human society.

Hamster;
Monday; the cotton ball (about 1.5 year)
This little guy is a black bear hamster with fluffy fur. I got him from the Humane society. I wasn't planning on getting him, but I saw his picture on their website and I couldn't resist! The picture was of him burried under his bedding with his head peeking out and some bedding was in his head. I didn't even realize he had long fur until I went to meet him. The person their mentioned he bites, and I've only gotten bitten once when I woke him up from a nap ;)

Ferrets;
Eliza; hyper jumper (about 8 months)
Hamilton; cuddle buddy (about 8 months)
It's still so surreal to have these two...I've wanted Ferrets for so long and my mom got me one for my birthday, Hamilton. At the store, she said "We are not getting a second one, you'll just have to spend a lot of time with this one!" Yeah... Two days later my mom wanted her own Ferret and we then got the panda Eliza!

Gueanea Pigs
Penny; The chirper
Piper; the eater
Nutmeg; the sweet girl
Peanut; the small one
Piggy Smalls; The cool colored
Penguin; the bully
I know none of these guy's ages, not even a guess. They are all rescues and to be honest they are a pain. They belong to my mom, yet everyone else cares for them...

Cats;
Lilly; the elder (17)
Ms. Kitty; the ousider (16)
Sweeters; the familier (3)
Buddy; the alpha (7)
Ranger; is secretly the real alpha (1.5)
Carmella; bed dweller (12)
These guys are all rescues, except Ms. Kitty. Lillie was at the Humane Society, we weren't going to get her, then we found out her back story... She was left in an apartment 2 days after her owner passed. We had to take her home after hearing this... Ms. Kitty came from a litter of kittens before my best cat pal got fixed. Sweeters was found stuck in a tree. When taken down, she wouldn't leave my side. Buddy was from Craigslist... I don't know if that's considered a rescue... When you walk in our home, you just kind of feel his presence in the house. Carmella was another Craigslist find, she was originally a stray kitten that the owner couldn't care for when she got older and decided to find her a new home. Carmella is very, very shy and prefers sleeping under a bed than getting love. Ranger was a rescue we found at PetSmart. He came from a Human Society and was housed temporarily in PetSmart.

Dogs;
Banjo; BanjoKazooie friend (12)
Bandit; the true alpha (10)
Buck Lee; the lovebug (about 2)
There's not much to say about these guys, they're amazing! Banjo was found as a stray, but is the sweetest guy ever, Bandit was bought from a pet store and was the first song I ever owned, and Buck Lee was found on Craigslist and had the best personality!

Reptiles;
Charmander; the Crested Gecko Leaper
Bearded Dragon (not yet named); the cuddly critter
So let me start out; I do not breed rats or mice for food. Crickets and other insects, sure, but when it comes to rats and mice I could never feed them to a creature unless it is already dead such as frozen mice/rats, I mean their already dead, there's not much that can be done about it. Good? Good. So I just recently started to try raising reptiles. My first was supposed to be a leopard gecko, but then I saw the crested and I just couldn't pass that guy up, he's sooooo cute!! That, and he didn't need crickets but as a snack once in a while. After having Charmander for a bit, I decided to try a bearded dragon. Two days ago I got this cutie and I am more than willing to deal with insects (I'm mildy afraid of them...) And the ocasional frozen pinkie, or meal worm to keep this critter around!

Passed :(
I've had a lot of pets through my short 19 year life! Sadly, I've had some pass, and I still miss them...
Lucy; my best friend. This cat was with me my whole life. She was a beautiful calico with the split-face coloring. She was my baby and I was her parent. When she needed something, she'd always come to me first. Occasionally she would indulge in a game of fetch with her favorite ball. I now have her cremations on my book shelf with a clay print of her paw and her favorite ball next to her urn.
Russian Mobster; This one is a hard one, mostly because I didn't get to know him... He was a Russian Dwarf hamster and was albino. I loved the way he looked, and he'd sometimes take treats from my hand without biting me! I came home from the store and was giving everyone treats. When I opened his container he didn't look straight up at me. I poked him lightly and realized he passed... Before burrying him, I saw his whole underbelly was soaked in blood... I felt so, so bad, but he had no signs of anything wrong... This guy will probably the last dwarf hamster I get, they always pass prematurely when I care for them...
Thistle; the one who spawned my love for rodents. Thistle was a robo dwarf hamster who was not loving at all, he was full of anger. But he still was my cutie! He was the first rodent I ever owned. He got cancer 4 months after I got him and soon passed away from it. My grandmother found a small box and got some toilet paper and helped me burry him.
Itty Bitty; one of my childhood cats. He was amazing and loving. We gave him the nickname 'Elefeather' because he would stomp all over the place, sounding like the largest cat ever, but when he was picked up, he was as light as a feather.
Tumble; this poor baby... I didn't even have her a day... I had put all my female rats in one cage that was brand new, it was nutral territory so I thought it would be a perfect! But then I heard the squeels... Checking on them, Missy had killed Tumble and injured Hannah. I felt like a terrible pet parent for letting this happen.
Tina; this felt like my fault as well... I have the mice in a plastic tote because they would escape every cage I owned and someone recommend a tote. I forgot to put some ice in the cage for the mice to chill off, but no one showed signs of heatstroke by the time I remembered. Tina, however, was gasping and being lethargic. She was always skittish and never felt with being held, even in this state she hopped away from my touches. I had done research on how to help a mouse get out of a heatstroke state, but none of the methods worked. When it turned out useless, I picked her up and calmly loved on her and talked to her until she passed... I still feel terrible about it...

I've had a lot of others pass away, too many to mention without crying and typing lol, anyway, if you got this far in my post; good job! It's pretty long, but I wanted people to know my pets! I always love talking about them and showing them off! I will point out, though, in case someone mentions me having to many animals; I know for a fact I do, and as pets pass, I will not be replacing them so that I will eventually have less of them. I know it's easier said than done, but I will avoid getting more for as long as possible.

And I thought I had a lot of pets! I also had an (accidental) rat breeding experience, I brought my rat home a friend because his had recently died only to find out that she was a female after already having her in the cage. She ended up having ten surviving babies after the first week and I kept them all, they are now 2 and a half (although it seems pituitary tumours run in the family so there are only 3 left). Because of this, I hear you on the having too many pets and not getting more after they're gone. I have also had some bad experiences owning hamsters, I didn't have any vets that treated hamsters in my area and I'm still a little traumatized from having to deal with a big medical issue by myself that ultimately lead to the hamster's death. Anyway, I really enjoyed reading about all your little friends!

Wow! You must have some energy, I'm exhausted just reading the list, lol. I'm glad you intend to cut back as kids pass, no way can your vet budget measure up to the size of your & your mom's hearts!

Oh yeah, it's a lot ;~;
But the love in return is worth it to be honest! Though as they pass I hope to have so extra time and money, just to miss them lol!

Please stop talking about using animals as feeders.

According to the rules, posted in the Introduction section, this forum does not condone breeding feeders and does not allow the discussion of the eating habits of reptiles.

This is a rat rescue site, a pet site and to talk about how it is ok to use mice and rats who were killed inhumanely (basically tortured to death) to be used as food by other animals, is extremely offensive !!!

Edit: it is impossible to kill a rat etc humanely and for its corpse to be ok to use as food.

I'm not talking about killing inhumanely??? I just wanted to know what was wrong with my cricket... I've read the rules, I just simply wanted to know if there was anything wrong before my others had a sickness that could kill them more painfully than any other thing...

I thought it was stated that mice ARENT fed, and that crickets and worms are the meal of choice??

I think maybe in the future just not mentioning it at all, whatever the angle, would be the best move. [emoji848]

Mice aren't fed, I was purely talking about crickets... I use to breed mice and rats, but just ended up with a bunch more pets than anything lol, just so that's aware....
