Daddy sits next to him when he's home and is feeding him treats ALL the time - he'll be fat in no time...

So it seems dispite the fact that I brought Buddy home and rescued him from the "clearance" aisle daddy is his favorite. Of course it could be all the treats he feeds him. I am his liter box and do you guys know how big a rat that size poops are - ginormous and stinky!!! He still will not come out of the cage on his own, but we are up to three legs - just cannot bring himself to pull that fourth one out. No hammock use yet either. I feel bad keeping him in a little hospital cage, but he seems to like and need the security of his little home. He's hard to pick up too - he's heavy, squeals, and then pees on me! He's definately had a rough life, but yet he's still a sweetie inside.

Still not using hammocks. Although he will use Petunia's triple hammock - kind of - he will put his top half in it as long as from his middle on back is still on the shelf. Oh yea, we moved him into a CN in the rat room. Doesn't go in hidey houses either - sleeps in the open.

He has made a kleenex cocoon .... I guess that is progress. He did something rattie... All I see now is white kleenex with red eyes... :lol6::lol6:

Well last week he finally did it! Then we had some out time and he went into the starfish which was alittle hard since he has a large backend... he was a little stuck and wasn't quite sure how to get out, but he caught on. Still isn't too fond of being picked up.

Haha well done BUDDY!!! Knew you had it in you boy. Heres to many happy days and nights of luxury snuggling of another level - enjoy boy, you've earned it! He's adorable.

He is in that one hammock all the time now. Still doesn't touch the others.
