I know your babies were precious, spoiled, and loved. I meant you need a nest a tiny newborn babies.... I'm sure Peanut and Achilles are sitting at the head of the table and/or are first in line at the all you can eat buffet...

Ha ha, yes you are right Dspch! I think about that all the time! Achilles and Peanut, the two foodie brothers at the All You Can Eat Buffet at the Bridge, absolutely. I am sure they do the buffet daily! :D

How are babies?

Absolutely adorable.. I saw one trying to groom today it was the cutest thing. I posted another thread to try and get their genders. I'll post pictures from today later... they are 12 days old now.. Momma though doesn't really like to hang out with them anymore unless she's nursing. She stays on the opposite side of the cage. Is that normal?

That is totally normal. My mommas have dipped out on their babies once the hair comes in. They do that game till the babies learn how to get on top of the box and ruin moms quiet time LOL

Oh Dspch, they are just the most precious babies! Even little blonde colored hoodies, wow! I would have a hard time putting these babies back down after getting to hold them..I would want to cuddle them all up to my face every second to smooch them! They are just the sweetest little angels....:rathugz:

I just got baby rat pooped/peed on. Smallest poop ever!!! Guess it didn't like me trying to get another photo for gender purposes.

They are 13 days old today and just caught one nibbling on a chunk of granola. Hope that's okay. Their little ears are open!! They are also considering wandering out of the nest - that's how the little one found the granola.

They are so precious.. gonna be hard to give two/three up, but my mom want to enter the world of rat ownership....

Those babies!! They get cuter when their little eyes open! It will physical hurt to see their cuteness soon haha you won't be able to stop telling them how damm adorable they are!

I tell them that now! One started eating food yesterday. He was munching on a granola chunk. Later on momma put a green leaf (not sure what kind) from her dish on top of the nest and he munched on that. So freakin' cute'! Ears opened yesterday, but still waiting on eyes.

I do believe its time for an update! These little monsters eat more than all my adults put together!! Some are bar climbing now so momma has no where to escape to anymore. They are loud - very loud! Especially around nursing time which I'm sure momma has had enough of already! I believe we will move them into a critter nation in the next couple days. My mom picked out her two last week so she will be joining the world of rats.

So cute. I love how fast it happens once their eyes open. It is just all trouble from there out! Imagine that times 6 LOL

Aaaghhh, they are so adorable! Such sweet and pudgy, happy kids! Golana, you are a great mother, my hat goes off to you, well done!

The babies are 5 weeks old today - on Tuesday I moved them into a critter nation and Golana freaked out. She was running around that thing like a crazy woman.. Ladder, what ladder she turns and jumps to the top shelf - JUMPS!!! I thought she had lost her damn mind with the running around she was doing and up, over, and in stuff non-stop... Then she started marking - seems our girlie is hormonal with the unneutered boys in the room - Oh yea, she's now in the rat room too...

My mom's boy Pitstop - is a wheel runner, I'll admit I'm surprised that little boy can make that big wheel spin, but he certainly can and it didn't take him long to figure it out.

I will take the three boys out and give them to my mom until the girls get their spays. Vet says they can stay together until 6 weeks old, but I'll take them out in a day or two just to be safe. I've named the boys, but have no idea what to name the four three girls..
