Is my rat pregnant?

We've done that many times but no movement. Could that mean that the babies are dead? We see no activity at all. :(

Not at all, she may have only a few inside, and they are deep inside, its only when there are a bunch jammed inside you see them pushing through the mom's side like that.
I never saw anything with Sage at all.

The fact that she's gaining still makes it less likely that the babies are dead or being reabsorbed.

Ratguide has these examples of pregnancy weight gain on their site but its in ounces, so I converted it to grams to make it easier for most of us to understand.
Unfortunately excel doesn't copy/paste well on here :(

Lets see if it works better as an attachment instead? Nope too big.

I shall try to take a pic of it with my cell, email the pic to myself and upload it LOL

So its ok if we don't see any movement. I see how there are stalls and drops in the weights. She has yet to lose weight and always gains at least a few grams. Fingers crossed for a quick and easy delivery! And hopefully soon so I can get some sleep! LOL!

I kept looking for astryd's babies to move and I did not see them move until the day before she had them. this video was done on 9/11 she had them 9/12

We haven't seen that kind of movement on Snow yet. We'll keep looking though. She looks very similar to Astryd; a similar belly size.

I've been keeping an eye on this post to see how you and your rats were doing ^^ I don't have much experience on the matter but I just wanted to wish your little rattie luck with the whole proccess! She'll be a great mum if she is indeed pregnant :D

ive aswell been stalking this thread :) Hope everything is going good.
One of my girls sometime ago gave birth on the 28th day of her pregnancy, and she was driving me crazy with worry cause she took so long :D

I always worried when my Doodles was pregnant. I never felt or saw the babies move. But she had 17 healthy babies. Maybe they were just crammed in there real tight! :). Hopefully your girl won't have that many - but you never know.

She was a very petite girl . I cannot believe she had so many babies!

We see no movement in her belly, no signs of labor, although, she has barricaded herself inside of her nesting box thing so we are leaving her alone. She's a bit nippy today but other than what I just said, she is bright eyed and alert. I guess today we'll know for sure. We are leaving her alone until we weigh her later today.

I keep checking back, and nothing! We are all pacing the floors with you. :)

Lol! This post made my day! I've pretty much have come to terms that she is not pregnant but looking at these pics I just took, keeps giving me hope. The last pic is just for fun :)

Awww what a cute, sweet face she has! Looks like she's trying to butter you up to apologize for taking so long :p I've never seen a pregnant rat in person, but from looking at her pictures and comparing to everyone else that's shared, she definitely looks pregnant to me.. She's probably just making sure that they're well baked! hehe

I will continue to obsessively stalk this thread.. she's really got me on the edge of my seat now, I can't imagine how you guys must be feeling!!
