Here are the girls:

We have many lurkers on the forum. I will move this post to the adoption area. We should get more views that way.
They are very pretty little girls.

They are beige in colour, very very friendly. They come running to the door every time I unlatch it so they can come out and play. I havent been able to do that for a while. Not sure on their age they are about 6 months to a year old they were that size when I got them.

I might be able to help with transport if someone wants these guys. It all depends on where and when of course, but if there is interest let me know and I'll see what I can do.

(I would need help with gas money though)

My husband does not want to pay people to take them. My hands are tied. Someone is welcome to take them for free and find them a home. But I cannot pay someone to take them

But... don't you want them to be safe? Maybe you should tell your husband to bug off so you can ensure the safety of your pets. You have a right to make choices for yourself and your pets.

Not to be rude, but he can't decided everything that you can or cannot do.

I did contact my vet and see if he knows anyone who could take them. Hopefully he sees this soon.

You still have a few days to find them a home. So hopefully someone can take them in.

People are offering to help but you're making it quite difficult for them.

Surely paying towards them getting a good home is better than letting someone dump them outside?

And saying that you don't see the point to keeping them an extra week - people may need time to arrange picking them up, transport etc... that's the point.

I'm confused. you said you rescued these girls, and that you are only re-homing them because you are allergic. If you had found out you weren't allergic, you'd be keeping them, right? and paying for everything that they need. (or your husband would be, if he handles all the money)
so what has changed now?
why can't you pay a little bit to ensure that your "rescues" get rescued?

I'm sorry I'm having a very hard time understanding.
do you not have any money of your own at all? do you have anything of value that you could sell?
do you have friend who could loan you some money?
can't you just tell your husband that you'll go without something in your budget in order to get your rescued rats to a new rescuer?

Myself or my husband MAY be doing a drive to Fort George this Friday night, dropping off a car full of Scouts for the weekend.

We live in York Region, if that helps out anyone who may be interested in these girls.

ok thanks, yes MRR has some NY foster homes, so maybe they'll be one up there. it's worth a shot

Great idea.

If she is in Niagara, she is also close to Buffalo if that helps.

What about shipping them to some of the people on here who are offering to take them for you? Is there any option there? Like put them in a crate and have them mailed like they do puppies or whatever? Maybe someone is driving from Ontario and coming to Nova Scotia and they could transport them for you? Post an ad on Kijiji that you want to transport them and see if someone is willing to do that. It's worth a try.

Sometimes husbands say things but they don't mean they actually are going to do it. It's just to scare you enough to get you to do it thinking "Oh my goodness I better find them a new home or he's going to throw them in a field! Oh the horrors! :gaah: ." I doubt your husband will actually set them in a field.

Hi,
I do believe that I said that I have a very full schedule, not that I am too busy. If you can deliver them to me, I am more than willing to take them. You told me that you would take them to the SPCA, not let them loose outside. I am a vet tech and work about 12 hours a day. I also work on weekends. I would need them delivered to me or closer to me and I would take them. Niagra is 2 hours away for me.

I may be able to help with transportation, but I have only ever driven on the highway once, and that was still with my dad, and it was from london to ridgetown. But if I can help in any way please let me know.

My dad does travel to many cities as well for his job, like hamilton, guelph etc, and he may even be able to help depending on his travel schedule. (cant promise on his part though)
