You guys are so lucky, being able to be up and around so soon after the C-section.
I hurt sooo baaaad.

And now my "real" milk is in.
I don't think my boobies have ever been this sore.

:hugs: :hugs: :hugs:

It'll get better, hon.
every one is different in how they recover from major surgery- I've had several operations and the c-section was def the most painful. I was in the hospital for 6 days. You didn't just have surgery, you were also in labor for some time before that (I had been in labor for 19hrs before they decided to go ahead with the c section) plus all the sleepless nights with the baby kicking and keeping you awake. It's very draining. You are doing an awesome job!

it will get better, just hang in there, ok?

Does the baby sleep well for you?
It's definately different for everyone! I also didn't have to go through real labour. My water broke and I had two mild contractions before my csection. It may have been an emergency section but it was a planned one (if that makes sense).
Hang in there, you're going to do awesome.

To Petunia: Did you happen to have staples as sutures? I'm getting mine out on Wednesday, and I'm very nervous about that. I've never had any type of surgery before, let alone sutures, and I'm terrified about how the staple removal might hurt.

And you see, the thing is, this baby is what makes it all worth it. She's amazing. Sure she cries and pees and poopies, sure she wakes me up at all hours of the night, but I don't care. She's so good! She snuggles and has the cutest face in the world and I love her so much!

Zooy: I had some pretty bad contractions, before my epidural. Like I was clinging to my mom and crying through them. Thank god I got the epidural when I did, I felt like I was dying.

And when the doctor broke my water I thought I peed out the entire water content of my body.

I was in labour for 3 days before they decided I needed an emerg. c-section so by that time I was too exhausted to care, I just wanted the baby out. He was worth every bit of pain   :D

Why hello again! I figured I'd make my reappearance in my own thread, complete with baby pictures!

Marcy is now 10 months old and some days, she's starting to stand on her own, definitely walking while holding on to furniture and my pants.

I've lost all of my baby weight and more, I'm down some 83 pounds (for you Canadians that's about 38kg). Bear in mind I'm counting that from my heaviest when I was like 9 months pregnant and about to absolutely pop.

alright picture time.
We went to the zoo!
