A poor 8 months old dog named Teddy was hit by a car near Bouctouche, NB last week and was left to die underneath a shed because the owners could not supposedly provide care. Someone contacted the Kent County Animal Rescue to rescue Teddy. Teddy was in major pain and it took a few hours to coax him from underneath the shed. He was rushed to the Coverdale Vet clinic. After examination Teddy it was determined that he had a hole near his testicule caused by the accident because the injury was not looked after right away and is infected to the point of causing an abscess. In addition, Teddy has a severely damaged leg that requires surgery or be amputated. Teddy is still at the vet clinic receiving antibiotics and pain medication. Sadly, the Kent County Animal, a small rural shelter, does not have the funds for Teddy's surgery ($2,000) and is seeking donations. Unfortunately, no charges against the owners was filed - that's NB laws for you.
