Ratsitting Some of Crumbilina's Ratters - Intro 2 :D

Well it was supposed to be Ruby on her own, LIly and Abby (on meds) butthen Neko started suspiciously sneezing so he and Basil came along as well. Jenny had said she was ttying to intro the 2 groups so I thought...perfect! New strange place, why not try intro's soon after they arrive! :giggle: The boys I know well having raised them from bitty babies, and the girls i also knew from previous "sleepovers"...my worst fear was that timid, fearful Abby would throw off such a scared vibe that wussy Basil would think there really WAS something scary LOL...but it didn't happen. All 4 are together now with no issues :joy:

Last night the 2 leaders of their groups...it looks like Lily is just fine with Neko being the alpha

OK so I am insane with other people's rats it seems LOL

I am now trying to introduce lone Ruby to the little crew of 4 and even though there's nothing miraculous going on, I have hope.

There's been some scuffles on Ruby's part but I think its mostly a little fur pulled out. She's very nervous and has NO clue how to meet these strange rats she is sure will try to kill her. I bet she's thinking they are trying to lull her into trusting them so that they can kill her when she least expects it. But they have been out for hours now and she seems to really like Basil the blue boy.

Abby also is coming out and we have some lovely pics of her today

She seems to not react when the other rats ignore her or just stay uiet and still...Abby running at her caused the only ratball...but Abby stops thinking when she's scared and away to her is often the wrong direction LOL

Basil and Neko are lovely and calm and not overly dominant, especially more wussy Basil.



AFter an hour or so when she stopped getting defensive, I put out the spare wheel for comfort but the others piles in...she really wanted IN that wheel (butt on right)

NO WAY!!! lol I guess they just needed a break from each other. Basil used to be so scared of her! Running anywhere to get away.

I'm so excited that I have a group of 4 for sure (didn't think that there would be problems, those 2 groups are good with other rats) and possibly a group of 5!!

LOL I challenge you to add Dizzy and Smudge! hahaha!

Well I guess Ruby processed after she was put back in her cage yesterday. Today she is more excited to be with the other rats than worried about them...a LOT of butt sniffing which they are mostly ignoring. Strangely enough Neko is the the one most worried about her and has run from her. She seems to be just sniffing them and running away. She's not defensive anymore in the Tunnel, she's just super active and super excited, sometimes she tries to stand on someone but they move away and she's off to check something else out. Her fur is down most of the times as well, and boy are her eyes bright! Abby is the one being a little PITA today :laugh4:

I am still working on figuring out my camera so for some reason the flash kept refusing to go off and I got lots of blurry pics LOL

I'll post them if I cannot get anything better :roll:

hehe just glad to see everything is going ok

He is a funny monkey! The blue brothers have similar temperaments and characters...funny eh?

Abby gets into it with her over the Pop tunnel...Ruby runs for the messy desk and Basil

Then Neko come up onto the desk...and Ruby hides...he shoves past her...



Then its Abby's turn...brave Abby!





Basil senses that Ruby is getting super stressed and worried so he "protects" her with his body



Then later on, Abby starts pushing through by Ruby, no interaction besides I am going past you, as Ruby stays very still.




All in all, not a bad intro...Ruby learned a little and everyone interacted. :thumbup:

Day 3 is a meh intro...mostly the girls are avoiding Ruby...

Although right now, I found Abby behind the monitor with Ruby...no confrontations, just sitting nearish each other. And Abby just bolted. Ruby was very happy when Basil came back with her, she seems to take a lot of reassurance from him.

Yesterday Neko was wagging his tail then bolting in the first part...today with food (the great Equalizer)



And Basil REALLY gets into his food...he's a digger, and then he licks it off his paws after he's toddled around making a mess of course :giggle:

It's looking great! Ruby was all show and no action. Abby who was previously very worried now knows it's all an act. They will all win her over whether Ruby likes it or not.
