hippie,
I went with a rustoleum hammertone paint to match the cage :)

Peggy,
thanks! and yes, the kids seemed really thrilled about the new cages!!
(and mom is too!!)

here's probably the last pics I'm going to post on here, just because it's the 1st set up with the new cages.
otherwise, I will post in "Rats in Pants Ratties" :)

They look so happy! Yaaaay!
And they've gotten along with everyone so far?
(Forgive me if you've posted about this already, this was the first thread I saw.)

GGMC is almost as serious an affliction as GGMR.

Don't forget GGMH (hammocks)
That is just as serious an affliction as GGMR and GGMC
:wink2:

Just saw this post! GGMH is a really serious problem for some of us... not mentioning any names, of course. It is probably incurable except by bankruptcy.

kscanuck, your cages look great. What a happy-looking crew of handsome ratties!

thanks tasha!!
yes, they all seem really pleased with the new cages, and the girls introed wonderfully as well, like they always lived together :)

and 1 month to the day....
I ordered the CN add on last night since I rescued 2 new girls this week...
:giggle: :giggle: :giggle:

well, I was pretty sure I was set for at LEAST another year with these 2 single CN but that was without counting on my local shelter calling me and me adopting 2 new girls last week...:)

wweeeelllll...

I got my add on (CN 163) yesterday and there was slight damage to it :(
ALL the parts were pristine, side, roof, pans and shelves...but the part where the legs go in, in each corner, shall I call it "leg sleeve" was bent flat against the cage

[attachment=0:397x9nml]InterLocking-Panels1.jpg[/attachment:397x9nml]

so I emailed Midwest who called me back promptly and instructed me to call petsupplies and have them file a damaged freight claim and have a replacement sent to me.

the petsupplies customer service lady was pleasant but not very knowledgeable about the critter nation, so she wasn't really understanding was part was damaged...she was saying she was going to contact midwest for a replacement part. I told her THE replacement part would be the whole front door frame...lol....and I know midwest doesn't send/replace cages parts because I asked awhile back if I could get just a middle floor and the answer was no, no roof, no floors, no sides or stands...just pans and shelves.
anyways, the verdict IS:
if in five business days UPS hasn't come by to get my cage, it means Petsupplies is sending a new add on.

so we shall see!!

update:
our UPS guy was here Monday (he delivers to our store daily) and told me had HAD got a notice to pick up the damaged cage this friday....I told him that it was too much hassle to repack it and at that point I was going to keep it.
so as far as I was concerned, this was the end of the story.

guess what showed up here about an hour ago?

that's right, a free CN163 ADD ON!!!

 :joy:  :joy:  :joy:
