Time for another update. Sadly, I'm now down to 11. We've been through many losses here but so far, we are hanging tough. Nobody is really sick, some have some mild URI but they are being treated.
1st colony we have what used to be called the Dirty Monkeys. Now they are Pony and the Girls. Pony lost all his cage buddies and became quite lonely so I added Chu and Bianca to his home. He's been a happy boy ever since.
Pony 23m. (in this pic, he's giving me the look... "the I don't know what you are up too but I may just have to chomp on you for it", look )
Chu 23m continues to be my explorer, my playful bossy girl. She's pwned Pony many times, although, I think Pony enjoys it tremendously.
Bianca 24m the forever lover not a fighter kind of girl.
Then we have the family colony. These guys are a treat to be around with. Each one know their names and will come out of nowhere when you call them. This makes it difficult to take pics. Cause if you say their name, they don't just turn to look at you, they sprint up my arm, run up to my neck and look at me quizzically asking: "you called?"
Gera 24m ...the ever so gentle of all gentle rats.
His little buddy Meeko 11m. He's the guy that never stops playing, jumping, running and popcorning.
Big Max 23m the wannabe bear but ends up mush when a buddy approaches. Even Meeko gets him on his back.
Rory 28m, getting up there in age, he's starting some slight hind end issues but nothing major. He loves buddies, he picks Max as his go to guy.
Molly 28m the sweet lady. She won't allow for scuffles or disputes. She's the mom of the group.
Scout 23m the shy girl unless something is up, she'll be right there if she's needed.
Chief 14m the boss and more of a loner. He keeps everyone in line but in a fair and good way.
Doc 12m...the goof, the joker, the perpetual class clown. He'll lighten any mood. Max and Doc have formed quite a strong bond.
These ratties make up my colonies... without them, my days wouldn't be so much fun. I love these guys so much, each one of them so unique and wonderful in their own way. Together they create a magical balance. :heart:
