I wanted to introduce to you all - Rex :D
He is my brothers new dog. They rescued him from my brothers girlfriends auntie. They kept him locked in a utility room, never took him for walks, had no toys to play with, was shouted at for every little thing he did. I sat cringing whilst we were there picking him up on Saturday night because i had to keep my mouth shut about it all.

He is a Siberian Husky, he is 1 years old, and he is absolutely stunning. He is so well behaved aswell! His previous owners (the aunty and uncle) said he was naughty, barked/howled all the time, chewed everything to bits - can you blame him?! He has picked up a habit of scratching at floors from trying to scratch under the gate that kept him locked in, we spent all day with him yesterday and he has a bit of seperation anxiety which we are working on too.

It looks to me like they have shaved him at some point, and i recon he is supposed to be a lot more black on his body

I had some rope toys that i gave the rats ages ago that they never bothered with, so his first ever toys were those :) and he loved it!

I lubs him :D

He is going to the vets tomorrow to get weighed and to get some booster injections because the aunt and uncle said that they "had only wormed him a long time ago now", so he obviously hadnt had any boosters for a while and will be wormed whilst he is there too

What a doll! And such a lucky boy to be getting a second chance. I love the photo of Rex getting petted and he has a paw over the arm. ...such a lucky sweetie.

He's some pretty! That's so great you guys were able to rescue him poor guy. Some people just really shouldn't have animals. I mean whats the point of having a dog if you just lock them up all the time and sit on their lazy a$$'s just doesn't make sense.

He's some lucky! Give him a hug from us.

what is seriously sad is that the Aunt and Uncle also have a German Shepherd called Louis :(
He is THE sweetest dog in the world. A few years ago my brothers girlfriend's mum was looking after him for a while and i took him for loads of walks and he was the best dog on the leash i have ever had the pleasure of walking. He is such a sweetheart and just wants hugs every day.
He has seriously bad arthritis and his back legs are going. He is locked in the utility room and lived with Rex for a while, in a very tiny space. He slips on the tiles because of his arthritis and slips on the concrete when they let him out in the garden. He is about 12 years old and we tried to get him aswell but we couldn't :sad3: We are still working on getting him out of there :(

Poor poor dogs! Rex is beautiful, and good luck with Louis. Those people shouldn't have animals, why get dogs if that's what they're going to do with them????

It's great that you got Rex out, he clearly looks very happy to be with you guys and he is very handsome!

I hope you guys can get Louis! That's heartbreaking.

GORGEOUS!!! I just love his markings and those blue blue eyes.
Pat on the back for a job well done.
Welcome home Rex.

my brothers gf's mum is a dumbass!
my brother drops Rex off at her house every morning. They are moving back in to the house in a few weeks but Rex is being left with Jenni's (my brothers gfs) mum.
I KNEW she would do it! She has been feeding Rex bread and butter whilst shes been looking after him and now he is constipated and also throwing up. Im getting him three days next week whilst my brother works, and they are taking him for a vet visit on Monday. Hopefully, his upset stomach will have sorted itself out before then if that stupid woman stops feeding him bread and butter.

"dogs like bread and butter she says" ARGH!!! :redhot:

Is there nobody else to care for him? He could end up even more sick if that is the result of feeding him that. Poor babies.

I have told my brother, who WILL tell her, that she is not to feed him anything!
Next week is my last week at college, and im only going in on monday and wednesday so i am getting him the rest of the week and for the whole weeks after then (except for exam days). I've told my brother though that if he is working and nobody is home here just to put the dog in the back garden.
I could go crazy at that woman!
