A dog was hit by a car, all captured on video... all the cars continued to go by while a second dog goes to the rescue.
AMAZING!

Wow. That's so wonderful.

People are so cruel... for no one to even stop... wow. The car that hit the poor thing just kept going.

Ok I just watched it I was afraid too I dont like seeing animals hurt. that was amazing!!!! For no one to even stop!!!!!!!! :redhot: I would have found a place to park and ran back to see him!

That is amazing.
I dunno how that person didn't stop after hitting him. If I ever hit an animal I'd be a crying mess trying to save it lol

Having worked at an emergency veterinary clinic for the last 5 years, it is actually sickening the number of people that hit animals and do not stop. period.
regardless of cat or dog, urban or rural setting, owner present or not. I could count on one hand the number of HBC's that have had someone stop.

Although, that being said, there was one case where a young man hit someones dog - he stopped, and then drove the family to the EVC to ensure that the dog was ok (he was thankfully!). I couldn't have been more proud of him (and i have NO clue who he is lol) being accountable is a really scary thing to do - but one would hope that if it came down to life or death that you would make the right decision.
Unfortunately most gutless-poor excuse for a living being-sack of s.... ... .... well....people usually dont stop :(

Its never happened to me, but I know that I would have to stop, not ever knowing what happened to the animal and knowing that I just drove away leaving the animal their in pain would haunt me for the rest of my life.. it would make me sick to my stomach.

I saw this the other day...sort of the same thing but with squirrels. (Forewarning: the victim squirrel is dead...it doesn't show it getting hit or anything, but just a head's up) One squirrel was hit (and killed) by a car, but it's friend still tries to protect it's body from the crows that are trying to eat it. At one point, when he is very outnumbered, he even resorts to lying on top of the dead squirrel's body to prevent them from getting to it.

Animals truly are greater than us...anyone see that video of the homeless guy in New York who lay dying for hours as people walked past? He'd been stabbed trying to stop a mugger and saved some woman's life.

Argent, I had heard of that. They also said that statistics say that you have a better chance of being saved in a small town rather than a big city. They say that people will have the mentality that the next one will do the right thing. One guy even stopped, turned the man over, saw all the blood and left him there anyways.

Bamboo... that video of the squirrel is heartbreaking, reminds when an elephant loses one of it's own, they grieve for days as well.
