A little bit of background is yesterday I accidentally hurt my rat Rosaline. She's seemed to have forgiven me, but when I was kissing my other girl Viola (she loves little head kisses) Rosaline came over and bit right under my eye. It's swollen and there was a little bit of blood. I don't know if this was intentional or if she was maybe trying to clean my eyelashes? She loves to try and clean my hair and teeth. I can't tell if it was accidental or not.

Well, I can now say since seeing the image that her bite was probably out of pain and fear. I'd put her on that infant ibu. Their tails are sensitive and yes, she will heal but she's probably in pain.

If she bit you way after the fact, it could actually be because eyelashes to them can sometimes look like a fluttering bug, and they LOVE to catch and eat bugs. So it may have been a misunderstanding for her. I am always cautious letting mine around my eyes, because once in a while, they will try to bite my lashes.
