Hello,
So i am here again with another issue.

My girl Coco appears to have this reddish color to her urine, which looks like blood.

I first noticed this on Friday 7th and took her to the vets on Saturday 8th. She has since been on Baytril 0.1ml twice a day @ 2.5% strength and metacam at 0.05ml once a day. I just tried to weigh her and she is about I'd day 400g, so could she not be getting enough meds?

I had been struggling to see where she has been peeing, as normally she goes on her platform and for the first time in a few days she did, but it's still looks like she has blood in her urine.

I am going to be making another vets appointment, but does this now rule out a standard infection and is something much worse?

Just wish I can have good things happen with my ratties, but just seems like I keep getting these health issues recently.

She also has been eating, drinking fine and seems her normal self.

Many thanks
Jaana

UPDATE: it's been a little over a month now and after COCO going in for her urine sample on the 17th of June it looked like she was showing signs of improvement being on the antibitocs, fortekor & prednisolone. When i took her in on the 30th of June, her urine showed that the blood had gone down and her proteins, so they lowered her prednisolone down to 1/4 a tablet a day, to which the tablet is 1mg and kept her on the 0.1ml twice a day antibiotics and the fortekor. I took her back to the vets on the 11/07 and she appears to be showing a lot more blood again. They are going to check under the microscope at her urine and have upped her antibiotic to 0.2ml twice a day. I am getting really concerned for her, as it looks like she is showing a bit more blood, then when it first started. I did ask about trying a different antibiotic, but apparently baytril is really good anyways and that some antibiotics can be toxic to rats. I am really lost on what to do. She seems perfectly fine in her self otherwise, just wish this would go away!!!

put her by herself in a carrier on white paper towel until she pees - shouldn't take long, to see her urine

It may mean that she needs different antibiotics or another antibiotic added to the baytril
Good that you will be taking her aback to the vet

I got some more baytril for her and on Monday she will be going back for the day to get a urine sample. They also want to start her on a steroid, so have stopped the metacam now. I hope it's nothing to serious that can't be resolved because I can't bare the thought of losing her so soon after Snowy.

If she still has blood in her urine, she may need different antibiotics such as adding clavamox to the baytril
You might also want to get the vet to do a culture of her urine to see if there is an infection and what antibiotics it will respond to http://ratguide.com/health/urinary_renal/urinary_tract_infections_lower.php

Does she seem to be in any pain?

btw, the rat guide does not appear to suggest a steroid as treatment for a urinary tract infection

Well she showed signs that she was improving...and then about a day or so ago I saw blood again, however I went home on my lunch break today and her urine looked almost normal, so I am very confused.

The reason why she is on a steroid, is because the vets don't think its a UTI, they think it's a kidney issue, as she showed quite a bit of protein in her urine when they tested it and some white blood cells. That is also why they have put her on Fortekor, as that is for the kidneys.

As for pain wise, as she is on her own in her cage, I do see her sitting around most of the time, but she still does move and climb around. When I take her out she sometimes has a nose around and then finds a place to sit and sort of goes back and forth with that, so I am not 100% sure. I don't see any porphin around her nose or eyes, I don't see her squinting she normally has quite big open eyes. She is still eating and drinking as far as I am aware. She takes food from me all the time and I see her eating from her bowl. I don't see her at her water bottle much, so I do give her fresh fruits and veggies and I have started to soak her food in water just to make sure, but she doesn't seem to be dehydrated either.
