Can you keep a spayed female and neutered male rat in the same cage if so how much is it to spay or neutered a rat because after mine has babies I want to spayed her and one of her daughters one they get old enough or the dad.

From my experience spays are arpumd $300+ and neuters $250+ spays are betters for the females because it reduces the chances of breast cancer, but a neuter for one male will allow him to live with unspayed females.

Can you neuter them like goats or sheep with a band

NO!!!! Absolutely not!!
It is extremely painful and dangerous.
Rats must be only neutered or spayed by a good vet with the knowledge and experience to do it safely

btw, what you gave described may be normal practice in animal agriculture but vets and anyone who cares about animals consider it to be torture and extreme animal cruelty. The only reason people who engage in this practice are not criminally charged is due to the fact that authorities do not care about the welfare of farm animals and thus there is a lack off will and in some places extremely poor animal cruelty legislation.

Look up what happens when someone puts rubber bands around a watermelon, and then imagine putting that on a puppy's tail to achieve cheap tail docking, or cheap neutering of goats, sheep, horses, cows, etc. Obviously the organs won't explode, but it puts extreme pressure on the tissues and destroys them.
These practices are not only inhumane, but extremely painful, and more prone to infections. Please do not do this. Spaying and neutering is expensive, I know, but I'd rather have it safely and humanely done versus cruelty and trauma.
