Hello, Im from Portugal and Im having a very hard time finding good rat food. I used to order Oxbow Essentials on amazon or ebay but theres no sellers from Europe, at least noone I can find, and my last order got
withheld at customs (idk if thats how you phrase that...But you get it lol). The food I can find is Portuguese pet stores and online stores is mostly very unhealthy. The one that seems best is this one https://www.zoo-roco.ch/en/versele-laga-rat-mouse-complete-food, could any one tell me if this food is okay? If not, is there anyone from Europe or anyone who can help me?

You might want to redo the title so that says Help! Can't find good rat food in Europe or in Portugal
or something like that so people in Europe will see the title and respond.

Neither of those ads gives good information on which to make a decision.
Lilspaz68 might have some suggestions
Jorats would be a good person to give you feed back on the food as over the years she has spent a lot of time looking into learning more about healthy diets for rats

They might be ok.
Personally I wouldn't feed the first one because of the ingredients but Jorats can give you an informed response

Have you checked out the info on food and nutrition in the Reference Thread?

I'm having trouble figuring out on where to change the title lol ahah.
Ive been doing a little research and the second option is recommended by some people in Europe and it looks okay, at least better than the first option.

Anyway thank you, I'll wait for @jorats and @lilspaz68 response, and yes :)

Personally I've never tried those ones, but if you have petsathome in Portugal their rat nuggets are good quality-my rats love it.

I would definitely do the Selective. Not the first one, the Versele Laga sounds like it's high in protein and we definitely don't want that for rats.

The breakdown for the Selective looks really good.
Wheat, soybean meal, barley, oats, soybean oil, dried apples (2.5%), black currants, wheat bran, calcium carbonate, salt. Protein 14% and fat only 4%.
