Sterling, Tyrion did a fantastic job on your hair! Good job Tyrion! He looked like he was doing quite the thorough job! :p

Mehgan, I loved #122...we can all relate to that joy and heart melt that we get when our babies look up at us...:flowers3:

#123 When a friend or relative makes a rude or not nice comment about your rats and you have to restrain yourself from punching them in the face! Luckily, I have never had any friend or relative make a rude or unkind comment...they probably wouldn't dare! :scolding:

#124 When a friend or relative oohs and ahhs over your ratty kids or tells you they are adorable/sweet/sooo cute and you decide you now like that person much better than before. :p

I had this one particular day that I'd had a woman tell me I should pin them (my babies) up for Halloween decorations. I really wanted to smack her. Thankfully it was followed a couple of days later with someone saying "I love all God's creatures, including rats." I wanted to hug her; it was exactly what I needed to hear.

Oh man, Sheldon, that was a very mean and cruel thing for that woman to say...did you tell her how awful it was for her to say that?

I did but she just laughed. I have to work with her too so now I have this latent hostility toward her. :/

Well as many of you know I work at a pet store (there to make changes and educate people) almost daily someone walks up to the small animal habs and looks and says...ooh cute hamsters...oh ew wait are those rats down there...ew and turn away!
I have to say 'have a nice day, thanks for visiting' but in my mind its not what I mean haha.
There will be the odd person that helps turn it around as says "I hear they make great companions, that they're super smart" and then I get to gush about how great they really are and inspire someone to think about them as a companion!

Uggh, people are such ignorant A holes. No wonder I like rats better.
(present company excepted of course!) :)

#126 One word. Rodentistry!!! :toothy1:

#127 Your sweet babies are laying down on something you want to clean or change out. You tentatively tug at whatever it is you need changing...your kids stay put like stubborn oxes and look up at you. You apologize and quietly clean things up AROUND them. This is a pure Beta Parent move. I am guilty of this. Of course. :rolleyes2:

#128 Politely ordering from Amazon for you when they walk (and pee) on your kindle.

#129 Having no problem understanding to put poo in the litter box, but kicking it out along with some litter-just for the fun of it.

#130 Enjoying your morning run in the wheel so much that you don't bother getting out and moving 10 inches to the left and putting raisins where you know they belong.

#131 Insistence that you WILL get the hammock down from where it hangs and add it as padding for your stash.

#132 Considering baby food as part of your stash but admitting you can't drag the plate to your usual spot. So...you cover it with fabric and paper so no one else will find it. It's okay that half of it gets soaked and when mom goes to clean it splatters everywhere on the carpet.

#133 Tunneling under the sheets is the best game ever.

#134 Waiting by the door of the rat room after you leave so I can run out as soon as you come back. The grass must be greener on the other side!

Aww, those are all great, Sheldon and boy have I experienced many of these, if not all! I need to think of some more stuff to add to this list!

#135 the look of regret when they snatcha treat and then see there were more options (looks at Butch, Juju and Duchess)

Little study I heard today!
This is a great scientific study done that proves something any rat owner already knows but love when they view rats in a positive way! One of the only animals ever proven to show regret!

LOL, that happens all the time around here! You can actually hear the internal conflict going on in their little heads ... *Do I drop the treat in my hands and go for the better one? Or could I fit both in my mouth at the same time? If I stash this treat real quick, would mom forget I already got one and give me another? Maybe I can "encourage" my buddy to give up his yummier looking treat instead?*

#138 Passing by one of your ratties, reaching out to do a quick head rub or scritch and he/she decides to give you a famous sweet rat licky kiss...and the licks keep going and you stand completely still and have a hard time continuing what you were doing until your rat has finished giving you all of his or her licky kisses!

#139 Putting your head down very close to one of your babies so you can have your hair done! My boys are excellent hair stylists. ;)

#140 Going to the bathroom with the door open, you look down and there is a rat in your pants on the floor. A small part of you wants to just keep sitting on the toilet cuz they're so comfy.
