Default Ensure vs. Pediasure?

I was just wondering which one is better for baby ratties, the ensure or the pediasure.

That's a good question. I'm not sure there is a difference, both would seem fine. ...wow! Pediasure has banana cream flavor, I bet my rats would go nuts for that one!

Here are the main differences as I can see them:

Pediasure has:
9 g of fat
3 g of saturated fat
90 mg sodium
310 mg potassium
18 g sugar
7 g protein

Ensure has:
7 g of fat
1 g saturated fat
190 mg sodium (big jump!!!)
390 mg potassium
22 g sugar
9 g protein

So maybe for the rats Pediasure is a better option?

Mmm... I wonder why the higher saturated fat with Pediasure. The high sodium is a concern definitely with Ensure.

I was thinking more about the fact that the Ensure is higher protein and higher sugar. Both bad for ratties, right?

The lower sodium means that Pediasure would be better for an elderly rat, who might have cardiac or renal problems.

Don't babies/children need a higher fat content for good brain development ... or something? Sorry, it's been a long time since my babies were babies.

Oooh it might be higher in Sat. fat because of all the Omega 3s they add now.
