curled tail

My one rat, Squeakers, will sometimes walk/run with her tail curled over her back. I tried searching online to see what this means, and it seems to be called "wheel tail"... however, there isn't a wheel in the cage, so it's not from running on one! I think it's cute, but just curious as to why she does this.

If it's not wheel tail I have no idea what it is!

I guess you could check her tail for cuts or bruises she may be holding it up cause it hurts. I don't really know..

I too have a couple of rats with a curl in their tail and they are not very much wheel runners. They don't seem to be bothered by it. I'm thinking it's a curve in the spine.

I had a rattie where it a was definitely wheel tail (she was a wheel maniac), but I recently crittersat 3 sister rats who all had 'wheel tail', it's apparently a genetic thing with them..
