Rayo's babies

Rayo had her babies last night so I figured I would start a new post to follow their growth 🙂 Vesta is still on baby watch so I will update her progress in my other thread.

I told Rayo's former owner about the baby's, he seemed suprised. I asked about the male, his name was snowball he was an albino dumbo. Does anyone have a guess as to what the baby's will look like? I was anxious waiting for the babies now I can't wait to know what they look like 🙃🙂

Well we have three dark eyed ones and three light eyed ones. Genders are beyond me, I just wanted to check their weight. We have three 8g babies, two 7g, and one little 6g baby.

A nice small litter of babies - that's good. You really don't want them on anything with strings so the babies don't get caught in them. Plain paper towels are the best for the first couple weeks since you'll need to clean the cage out every day. Just a nesting box and the paper towels/litter is good.

Thanks, and yes it is! We are keeping an eye on the one in the box, but it's new with no loose strings and the last one was just on the scale so it wouldn't be cold when we weighed the baby's ��

I was referring to the towel in the box..

Ok It's part of the original nest so it will be moved out when we clean.

They are so cute when they have their little feet in the air! I feel like they already look like they have grown lol

The little guy in the middle seems to have a purple nose, is that normal? The rest look pink.

The one underneath in the middle? Is it always like that? Could be the lighting. He/she is going to have dark eyes. Does he/she seems to have trouble breathing?

Yes. This is the only time we got them out but he or she didn't seem to be acting any different, he had a milk band. I will check in the morning to see if it's changed!
