After a three hour drive to Maryland, my West Side Highway boys from Luna's House are home!
Luna's House is a lovely rescue; the second we got there they were warm, friendly, and happy to speak with us! The boys' foster mom was also wonderful; she's done such a nice job with the boys, their siblings, and their mom. E-mail communication with the rescue was constant, and they were quick to answer any of my questions. If you're anywhere near Edgewood, MD and looking for a new family member, I'd recommend giving them a call!
Angus The smaller boy. A little more adventurous, a little more comfortable being pet. He started whiskering over everything the second I set him in the cage (and was the first to find their food bowls, lol). Willing to take food from my hand already.
Mario A big, hesitant boy who's happy to have his brother scope everything out while he remains in the safety of their igloo. As a thank you to Angus for making sure that everything is in order, Mario steals food out of his brother's mouth.
Both are named after resident doctors on one of my favorite shows, Code Black! They're still settling in, but I'm hoping that over the next few weeks they'll grow more accustomed to me and get comfortable with me picking them up and petting them. I can tell that their vision isn't too great because they do a lot of head weaving, so we're working hard to get them used to our voices and smells.
Here they are in their bin cage during the car ride home:
Here inquisitive Angus is venturing out of the igloo while Mario flashes us his backside

And here's their first salad! Blueberries, some mixed greens, broccoli, and a sliced baby carrot!
All of the things for their CN haven't arrived yet, including some custom hammocks, so for now they're on what I have left from my girls. I'm excited for what lies ahead of my new boys and me!
