Odin and Porter Journey together 02.06.16

Peacefully in their sleep together, Odin and Porter at the ripe ages of 2.4 and 2.7, passed away Thursday night. Odin had been battling old age problems for a number of months prior. Thankfully I was able to use that time to spoil him rotten and get as many snuggles and kisses as he had energy to share!
Porter did not seem to have any other reason to pass away other then just knowing it was his best buddies time and he didn't want to be left behind. They leave behind our remaining boy Yoshi and 5 girls.
Odin was definitely a heart rat and his passing though expected was still devasting to me. I cried much of Friday night looking at old pictures and reminiscing about all the educational work Odin did with me at local pet stores and kids events. He was a very special soul.
I don't mean to deny Porter his final words either. He was also a very special rat. He was my social king. I could pair him with any mischief and he would fit right in. Him and Odin became best friends very quickly.

The fact that they went so peacefully together in their sleep brings a tear to my eye
