I think this would be one of the top choices to base a homemade diet on
http://www.nearof.com/?p=165
I either let it cook itself it in the Slow-Cooker, or combine 2 tbsp RR + 3 tbsp large oats + boiling water to cover (in a coffee mug), an microwave an additional 55s on HI.

Then I mashing in so-called "superfoods" such as pumpkin, yams, cassava, avocados, and olive oil.

What would YOU add to make this your perfect diet?

*FYI you don't want to use Instant oats (or anything Instant) because it means it has been pre-cooked, losing much of its nutritional value

It's raw and unprocesssed and very cheap. It has a lot of flax, therefore can be kind of sticky. Ron Hines in his Ratguide article says fats should be fed to older rats to protect the kidneys, ad proteins should be cut.
