Sox10... What is it?

It has been popping up a lot in the rat breeder groups on facebook. There was a moment where we were debating breeding Flux to keep his line in our family, so I joined a few groups to get more info. Something called sox10 kept popping up every once in awhile. Flux is amazing and if I felt that we could responsibly breed him and create a wonderful, healthy line, we would do so still. However I don't think that's a good idea anymore, but I still kept the groups for learning purposes.

Also. Sendai is sweeping across the U.S. and there is at least one case local to me. Eek.

Sox10 is one of the genes directly linked with megacolon.
