Please email this breeder and politely ask her to stop breeding her pets.

She has been producing litter after litter, sometimes back to back litters.
The care her rats receive is not great either.
She has claimed to purposely breed rats because "babies are cute" and may have had some litters as the result of irresponsible, careless behaviour as well - hard to know because her stories keep changing.

Here are 3 of her ads. The wording sounds ok and demonstrates that she did read emails I sent regarding screening and contracts. Note that the number of babies (born at/around the same time) keeps increasing :

Maybe if we all politely tell her why she should not be breeding, she will reconsider her actions

my god. just reading her ads makes it seem like she doesent know what she's doing. But at least she wants them to go to a good home. ill send her and email. Can rats actually have blue eyes?

She doesn't know what she is doing.
She is an unethical backyard breeder breeding pet store rats with unknown genetic backgrounds.
Every rat she breeds takes a home away from the many rescue rats waiting in SPCAs, being rehomed or from real pet store surprise litters .

Breeding rats means risking the life of the mother during pregnancy or the birth.
She says she doesn't want them to end up as feeders but the only real market around here for rats is as live snake food ..... so except for the babies going to people she knows, that is what is happening to most of them.
She isn't screening effectively, doesn't check references, make home visits etc ....

Anyone breeding rats properly would be spending hundreds of dollars per litter to meet their nutritional and medical needs .... just ask any of us who rescue rats that end up being pregnant ..... but she isn't doing it right and is making money by breeding and selling the babies
