One ofm y rats were at the vets a few days ago, but since yesterday she has been having red dry rings around her eyes, but she is prefectly healthy, according to the vet, there was nothing wrong with her days ago.

It's mostly one of the eyes, and it keeps reappearing, the other eye has a little bit, but not as much.

It does sound like porphyrin. Porphyrin looks just like blood but is actually a fluid secreted by the Harderian gland which is located behind a rat’s eyes. If porphyrin is present it usually means the rat is stressed and/or sick. Besides around the eyes, porphyrin can also appear around rats' nostrils.

You can call your vet and let her know you're now seeing porphyrin and see what she says.

Are you hearing any respiratory symptoms? Do you hear any sounds when your rat is breathing? Rats' breathing should be silent. If you're hearing any sounds your rat could've developed respiratory disease after seeing your vet.

She makes a fart noise from her nose if her nose is in my ear, but thats it, that was there long before (months) I visited the vet, so that's nothing new.

That's not a normal healthy rat sound. It definitely sounds like she's got some congestion. Can you get a video of her so we can see/hear what you're talking about?

She red has stopped coming form her eye, I don't have a video, nor a good camera to record the sound with, I could try, but the thing is that a good rodent specialist vet told me that giving medicine to a rat thay ONLY makes a sound with no other symptoms (the running from the eye stopped) shouldn't get medicine or it will just come back sicne it's myco, and she listened to her lungs and stuff, so I really can't make the vet do anything more, espacily sincet her runny eye stopped.

I did have a girl who always had porphryn around her eyes. No matter if she was on antibiotics or not, it was always there. Has your girl always had a mucky eye?

If I were you I would just keep watch of the eyes to make sure that there are no changes to the eyes themselves (the colour remains the same, they don't pop out, no scratches, etc) just to make sure that her eye is healthy. But also keep watch of her breathing. If you notice any difficulty take her back to the vet. I would assume that since the vet listened with a stethoscope then her lungs are clear, but the noise you describe isn't normal and is a bit worrisome (at least to me).

I agree with Crumbilina----A healthy rat's breathing is silent so it's still a concern that you're hearing a sound when she's breathing. Can you get a second opinion from a different vet?
