Yeah, paper. It freaked me out when I first saw it, now I see they just kinda chew on it.

Yep, that's why if you use liter in your litter pans you need to use paper and not stuff that clumps - just in case they eat it, don't want it clumping in their bellies.

Speaking of litter pans, I trained my babies to use them - accidently.
I put a little fluffy bed in the cage, except it was in a corner, and yeah. Guess what the bed's being used for.

Some rats like to make lunch of just about anything. lol I've seen a few of mine do that too.
