So, I have lots of squash, and I wanted to give some to my boy. (I only have 1 rat right now, as he was originally bought as a feeder. I will be getting him a brother as soon as his larger cage gets here though.)

Should I cook it first, or is it ok raw? Other online readings say it's perfectly fine to feed occasionally, but nobody says if it's cooked or not?

I don't know, but mine like their squash baked in the oven (nothing added to it, just the squash) .... and they love the baked squash seeds (as a treat) too

This is a good question. I think I would cook it though. My sister's rats would get spaghetti squash all the time. They loved it.
