How many hours in a 24 hour period does a rat sleep?

(Please let me know where you got your info as well if possible)

:hugs:

The only "references" i can give you is my rats. It would follow what the previous poster said. They do sleep a majority of the time. Most active at night of course. They prefer to sleep most of the day, but are up a couple times eating, drinking and grooming. Their most active times are around early morning and late at night.

Yes! Rats are crepuscular, meaning they are most active at dawn and dusk (early morning & late at night)
Those times would be your best bet to play with a happy and fully energized rat.
