Hairless rat and bedding help!

Hello!

My little Harry keep getting bedding stuck in his eyes. I use strictly paper, but it just wads up and gets stuck in the lower eyelid. Thankfully he is very mellow, and my vet taught me how to remove it at home, since it keeps happening. I prefer not to do fleece, but will if needed. Does anyone else have this issue??

Ah, poor little guy. It's very common in hairless rats. Have you heard of vet bed? It's suppose to be really good. What kind of paper are you using? Like Carefresh? My mom used newspaper with her hairless guys. She had to change it often.

Kaytee soft & cozy. Never heard of vet bed..

I can see that bedding being an issue for sure.

Yes I was not a fan of that bedding with my hairless rats either. I found it much easier to use bathroom rugs.

google original vet bed .... it is available in the USA, Canada and England.
It is washable and highly recommended by some rat owners who have had rats with special needs
