Hi!
Can someone please give me the proper cat revolution dose for my husky boy, bandit? He weighs 800 grams. I have everything I need, I'm just concerned that I'm not doing the calculation correctly.:thankyou:
Thanks!!

the dose is 6 mg/kg (actually 4 mg/kg to 8 mg/kg so I usually use the middle #) http://ratguide.com/meds/anti-infectives/selamectin_revolution.php

So at 800 g he is 0.8 kg
so he needs 4.8 mg of revolution (6 mg/kg x 0.8 kg)

the strength of your revolution is 60 mg/ml (60mg/ml x 0.08ml = 4.8 mg)
so he needs 0.08 ml

It looks like 1 ml on your syringe is marked as 100
and 0.1 ml is marked as 10
so 0.08 ml would be 8 on your syringe ..... so if the syringe is marked off in 10 lines from 1 and 10, then it would be the 8th line.

you put the drop of revolution on the back of his neck
I find it easier to use a 1 ml syringe that has a needle that can be removed - the vet or a pharmacy should sell them

good luck
