I really can't find any on Malcolm or Milo. It's very weird. Lifting up the tail from the back Malcolm does appear to be female, but It's confusing. Ahh so frustrated. I really hope Malcolm is a girl, because then we can just get Moose neutered, and it'll be easier. I don't know if I'm comfortable with spaying my rats since there is not really a reat savvy vet in my area and it's a lot more invasive, but I know it's better for them in the long run too

There should be three openings for the girls and two for the boys. Nipples for girls. Usually you will see the testes by now. I can't zoom in on your picture on that site. We need a clear, crisp zoomed in picture. (Oh my, rat porn...LOL)

That will be hard to get since I have a squirmy little Malcolm. I can try later. I won't be home for a while though

So Miloh and Molly are my two girl with each other, and today I got Malcolm(New rat) for Moose. Each pair loves each other. Planned for two rats, ended up with four :hug4:

She's a Champagne, but she's too shy to come out of her strawberry

Dang, no rat saavy vets around your area? That is a huge bummer. How far would you have to go to get to one?

Your photos of your kids, oh my god, they are all such precious little ones! Beautiful babies!

about two hours from where I live. I have a exotics vet that I go to, but after all his misdiagnosis' I really don't want him to spay or neuter my babies

Honestly, I would drive the two hours. The vet that does my spays and neuters is about 1:15 hours away. I don't bother coming home - I just wait there or in the area (go for a coffee and read a book) until they are ready to come home.
I use my local vet for simple tumour removals, but not the invasive surgeries.

I can look into it.
I'm going to need to buy a scale because Miloh is getting fat... I don't think it's pregnancy but it better not be because she's really young. I doubt it, but it isn't out of the question. But for now she just looks a little fatter.

It is good to take periodic weights anyway. It helps you determine if there's a problem and you learn the general weight trends for your rats. I thought my rat Dixie looked a bit skinny, but had no idea how much weight she had lost until I weighed her and discovered she had lost 70 grams! (She had a pituitary tumour). So it's a very good tool. It is also important in figuring out the doses for medication.
I hope it's just baby fat for Miloh!

Molly keeps biting my finger when I go to pet her :(
How do I strengthen our bond?
Approach her with a treat in your hand. And if she gets grabby, don't pull away but instead push the food towards her (you don't grab something that's pushed towards you.)
Keep giving her small treats (ie not a whole yogie, but merely a piece of one, etc) any time you approach her. Soon you will be "the bearer of wonderful things" and she will be excited to see you.

Thanks. The rattie got eggs for treats and she seemed to open up a little more. Ill do that tomorrow morning
